Tiffany came to our home in October 2002 and her brother Ryan joined our family in December 2002. Tiffany is 13 and Ryan is 15. The children collaborated on the quilt square design.

Both children were taken out of the home in October 2002. However, because there were other siblings involved, they were split up. Our family requested Ryan as to try to keep some of the sibling group together. This was the first time they were in foster care. Their biological mother died in May of 2002 and their biological father was not able to care for them properly. They do come from a very abusive home, physically, emotionally and sexually.

I am happy to say that soon both children (June 3, 2005) will be adopted and become permanent members of our family. We realize that there is a long bumpy road ahead of us, but we are up for the challenge.
