The children that have colored this quilt square are 2 brothers: Mykle age 14 and John age 7. They have been in the foster care system for 18 months and have spent all but 2 weeks of that time with myself and my husband.

The boys came into care because of a Meth lab that their parents had in their home. Mykle was very parentified (acted as the adult) and John was prone to having tantrums if he did not get his way. They have come a very long way in these last 18 months.
