Destiny

I have been in foster care for a very long time, and I have lived in many different places. I am not able to live with mom and dada because they cannot provide the right type of care for me, even though they wish they could. The reason I choose the word destiny is because I believe that everything happens for a reason. I have never had anyone be here for me, care for me, and love me the way I have now.

It’s amazing to have a real family, which without my new foster family, I would not have. They’re wonderful. I am a sister, a friend, and a daughter, all the things I have always wanted to be. I get to play Barbie’s with my little sister and have her call me her best friend, which means more than I can tell you. Then I have my little foster brother, who is my number one dancing buddy I have my foster sister who is like my sister, we always talk and do goofy things. I have my foster dad and he makes a great dad, I wouldn’t choose anyone else to do that job, because no one can make me laugh they way he does. Then I have my foster mom and she’s such a good mom. She has been through so much with me, most people have just given up on me but she hasn’t. She’s still here to help me and talk to me, let me know she cares. And I want to say thank you to all of them. Foster care is such a beautiful thing, without it I wouldn’t be me.

With each home I have went to I have learned something new, and I wouldn’t have the chance if it wasn’t for all the great people who opened up their homes to me. Thank you to all the loving people willing to do this, it really can make a difference in a Child’s life, I know it has with mine. I have everything I could every want and I am more happy than I have ever been.

Thank you so much for giving me that.
